Our most recent and current projects span a variety of issues in K-16 STEM education and research.

Highlights of our work include projects focused on: opportunities for talented youth in mathematics from underrepresented communities, curricular adaptations in middle school mathematics in urban schools, recruitment and retention of community college students in biotechnology programs and careers, recruitment and retention of minorities in preservice STEM programs, and educational interventions to increase success in undergraduate STEM gateway courses.

A commitment to addressing the challenges and opportunities of broadening participation of underrepresented minority groups in STEM education and research is foreground
in our mission.
